On March 3rd, 2015, Pastor Johannes Scheel, president (left, with watering can) and Pastor Thomas Groß (right, with spade) planted a red maple tree on behalf of the Seventh Day Adventists, Berlin-Central German Federation, an association of the churches in Berlin, Brandenburg, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, and Thuringia.
Adventists Dedicate a Luther Tree in Friedensau
On June 7th, 2015, an oak tree was planted as partner tree in the village square of Friedensau, Germany. During an open house celebrating 25 years of state recognition of the Theological College of Friedensau, representatives of the College, the free church of the Seventh Day Adventists, and the Protestant and Catholic state churches unveiled a plaque with a Bible verse from the Letter to the Ephesians, chapter 4, verse 15: “But speaking the truth in love, we must grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ.”
