Planting in the Luther Garden :

On September 4th, 2011, congregation leader Yngve Berntsen (right foreground, with spade) planted a whitebeam tree on behalf of the Lutheran congregations of Botne, Holmestrand, and Hillestad in the Church of Norway. He was accompanied by members of the congregations.

Planting the partner tree :

On Reformation Day, October 31st, 2013, a whitebeam tree (Sorbus aria) was planted next to the church in Botne as a Luther tree. Confirmands were present, who were studying the Reformation that day. Two of the confirmands planted the tree together with the cemetery caretaker. The tree can be found in the newly constructed cemetery park in Botne/Holmestrand.
