Planting in the Luther Garden :

On May 21st, 2011, Pastor Bernard Hoppe (left, with spade) and congregation members planted a small leaved linden tree on behalf of three congregations in partnership: the Evangelical Congregation Weinsheim-Rüdesheim (Rhineland, Germany), the Evangelical Congregation Felgentreu (Brandenburg, Germany) and the ERP Paroisse Mukore (Rwanda).

Planting the partner tree :

On November 14th, 2010, following a family worship service, Pastor Hoppe (left) planted a “Rheinischer Bohnapfel” apple tree on the south side of the church in Felgentreu, Germany, as part of a network of partner trees. Another “Rheinischer Bohnapfel” was already planted in October with the congregation of Weinsheim-Rüdesheim at Lago Kappico, and another tree planting is planned in Mukore, the partner congregation in Africa. These planting projects, coming from Wittenberg, show how the Lutheran faith spread in the world.
