Planting in the Luther Garden :

On March 11th, 2012, during the 5th International Theological Seminar of the Lutheran World Federation, Bishop Stephen Kristenson (center) planted a common ash tree on behalf of the Eastern Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada. A child from the Protestant Elementary School in Wittenberg is ready to help by watering the tree.

Planting the partner tree :

On May 5th, 2012, Bishop Michael Pryse (right) planted a flowering crab apple tree on behalf of the Eastern Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada, in front of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia. The pastor of this church, Stephen Kristenson (left) and his wife took part in the planting.
