Planting in the Luther Garden :

On November 1st, 2017, Pastor Robert Moore, representative of the ELCA in Wittenberg (shoveling the spade), representing the congregation, planted a small leaved linden tree on behalf of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lehighton, Pennsylvania, USA.

Planting the partner tree :

On December 1st, 2017, Pastor Richard Bergen planted in the church garden an American linden tree as the partner tree for Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lehighton, Pennsylvania, USA. On April 22nd, 2018, at the dedication of the tree, a time capsule with photos and memories on the Reformation was laid under the tree. The capsule will be opened in the year 2517, on the millenial Reformation Jubilee.
