Planting in the Luther Garden :

On July 16th, 2010, ahead of the General Assembly of the Lutheran World Federation in Stuttgart, Dr. Elder Fook-yee Wong (with spade) planted a flowering ash tree on behalf of the The Evangelical Lutheran Church of Hong Kong.

Planting the partner tree :

On June 6th, 2015, four partner trees for churches from Hong Kong were planted on the grounds of the Lutheran Theological Seminary. All four churches are represented with a tree in Wittenberg. On behalf of their churches, the church presidents each planted a Buddhist pine tree: Pastor Bob Lo, Dean of the Tsung Tsin Mission of Hong Kong; Pastor Lee Lap Yan, President of the Hong Kong and Macau Lutheran Church; Elder Chan Ka Keung, Vice President of The Chinese Rhenish Church Hong Kong Synod; and Pastor Ben Chang, Bishop of The Evangelical Lutheran Church of Hong Kong (all pictured, left to right).
