Planting in the Luther Garden :

On November 16th, 2014, during the 10th International Theological Seminar of the Lutheran World Federation, Pastor Neil Christian Thomson, of Canada (reading the selected Bible verse) and the Director of the LWF Center Wittenberg, Pastor Hans W. Kasch, together representing Pastor Dr. Barton Beglo, planted a “Von Nancy” Mirabelle plum tree on behalf of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

Planting the partner tree :

On September 13th, 2015, congregation members and sponsors planted the partner tree for St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Ottawa, Ontario at Canada’s Central Experimental Farm in the heart of Ottawa. This farm was established by the federal government in 1886 and the city grew up around it. Today the farm is a National Historic Site and working research center. The congregation received a certificate, as well as a small plaque on the donor wall at the site.
