Planting in the Luther Garden :

On July 17th, 2015, Church President Volker Jung (watering the tree) planted a “Rote Sternrenette” apple tree on behalf of the Protestant Church in Hesse and Nassau (EKHN). The ceremony took place during a meeting of the church board of the Protestant Church in Hesse and Nassau and their partner church, the Evangelical Church in Central Germany.

Planting the partner tree :

On May 25th, 2016, Church President Dr. Volker Jung planted a Boskoop apple tree at the Protestant High School Bad Marienberg in Westerwaldkreis, Germany, as partner tree for the Evangelical Church of Hesse and Nassau (EKHN). Many guests from Germany and abroad came for the planting, including a delegation from the GKPS, the partner church in Indonesia of the Protestant Church District of Bad Marienberg, as well as representatives from church and state.
