Planting in the Luther Garden :

On November 1st, 2009, the first 25 trees in the Luthergarten were adopted. Bishop Dr. Christoph Klein from Sibiu/Hermannstadt (citing the selected Bible verse) planted a whitebeam tree on behalf of the Evangelical Church of the Augsburg Confession in Romania.

Planting the partner tree :

On March 11th, 2010, Bishop D. Dr. Christoph Klein (with spade at the tree) planted a “Luther linden” tree in the courtyard of the “Teutsch-Haus” in Hermannstadt, Romania as the partner tree of his church. He was accompanied by Dr. Wolfram Theilemann, Church Executive Dr. Johann Schneider, Bishop of the EKD Martin Schindehütte, and ordained and lay church staff.
