On May 8th, 2016, during a partnership conference of the Evangelical Church in Central Germany and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania, Bishop Solomon Massangwa (right; left is a pastor of his diocese), planted a catalpa tree on behalf of the North-Central Diocese in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania.
