Planting in the Luther Garden :

On October 31st, 2011, Director Pastor Peter Weigand (in front of the tree) planted a small leaved linden tree on behalf of Mission EineWelt (Mission OneWorld) – Center for Partnership, Development and Mission of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria. On the occasion of the bishop’s installation of Bishop Heinrich Bedford-Strohm, representatives of churches in partnership with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria traveled to Wittenberg for the tree planting. A child from the Protestant Elementary School in Wittenberg is ready to help by watering the tree.

Planting the partner tree :

On October 29th, 2011, during an international, ecumenical reception on the occasion of the installation of Prof. Dr. Heinrich Bedford-Strohm as Bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria, Germany, Bishop Dr. Bedford-Strohm planted a tulip tree in Neundettelsau as the partner tree for Mission OneWorld (Mission EineWelt).
