On May 25th, 2013, Mark Wegmeyer (seated) and representatives from Zarrentin planted a small leaved linden tree on behalf of the long-standing partner congregations: Lutheran Church of the Resurrection in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA; the Congregation of St. Peter and Paul in Zarrentin, Germany, and the Lutheran Church La Resurrección El Tuerto, Guatemala.

After the shared tree planting in the Luthergarten, t hLutheran Church of the Resurrection in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA; the Congregation of St. Peter and Paul in Zarrentin, Germany, and the Lutheran Church La Resurrección El Tuerto, Guatemala each planted a partner tree in their own church. The first tree was planted on July 16th, 2011, in Guatemala (left photo); later the tree plantings took place in Cincinnati (center photo) and Zarrentin (right photo).
