Planting in the Luther Garden :

On November 11th, 2012, during the 6th International Theological Seminar of the Lutheran World Federation, Pastor Dr. Deuk Chil Kwon, (reading the selected Bible verse), representing President Pastor Dr. Hyun Sub Um, planted a flowering ash tree on behalf of the Lutheran Church in Korea.

Planting the partner tree :

On April 26th, 2013, a Japanese pine tree was planted in front of the main building of Luther University in Yongin, South Korea, as the partner tree of the Lutheran Church in Korea. Taking part in the planting were: Church President Rev. Hyun-Sub Um, former Church President Pastor Hong-Ryul Lee, Co-Chairman Pastor Hyun-Gil Kang and Church Board Members Pastor Don-Heon Ahn, Pastor Eun-Seob Kim and Pastor Taek-Ju Hong.
