Planting the partner tree :

On April 10th, 2019, young students of the English Bishopsparl School in Paderborn planted a European white elm tree (tree of the year 2019) as a partner tree for the Evangelical St Peter´s Garrison Church Barker Barracks, Paderborn, Germany, and Catholic Congregation Our Lady of Lourdes, Sennelager, Germany. Looking back, the mutual tree planting appears to be a prophetic act: both churches celebrated their last worship service on Easter Sunday 2019 and were joined as the ecumenical “St. Boniface” congregation afterwards.
