Planting in the Luther Garden :

On October 4th, 2014, Pastor Norbert Hott (right, with watering can) and Church Council member Dr. Peter Rothkegel (2nd from right, with spade) planted a plum tree on behalf of the Evangelical Congregation of St. Mark in Butzbach, Germany. They were supported by other members of the congregation. A trombone choir from Herrieden, whose congregation also planted a tree that day, provided the musical accompaniment.

Planting the partner tree :

On November 2nd, 2014, following the Reformation worship service, Dean Volkhard Guth planted an apple tree in the church yard in Butzbach, Germany as partner tree for the Evangelical Congregation of St. Mark.
