Planting in the Luther Garden :

On May 23rd, 2017, Pastor Christian Holz (right), Andreas Vincke, Director of the Institution (left) and Manuela Söhnchen (center) from social services representing the Retirement home, planted a Norway maple tree on behalf of the Evangelical Lutheran Congregation St. John and the Retirement home in Witten, Germany.

Planting the partner tree :

On April 3rd, 2017, Pastor Wolfram Linnemann (3rd from right), Pastor Christian Holtz (3rd from left), and Deaconess Manuela Söhnchen (2nd from right) from the team of the retirement homes at the senior center “am Schwesternpark” planted a “Luther Tree” as partner tree for the retirement village in Witten and the Evangelical Lutheran Congregation of St. John in Witten, Germany. Taking part in the outdoor prayer service were the trombone choir of the St. John’s congregation, residents of the retirement homes, renters of the senior living apartments, and Church Superintendent Julia Holtz.
