On August 25th, 2018, confirmands of the class of 2017/2018 and members of the Church Council, accompanied by Pastor Matthias Koch (front row, with plaid shirt) planted a sycamore maple tree on behalf of the Evangelical Lutheran Congregation St. Jacobus in Pesterwitz, Germany.

On May 18th, 2017, after the evening bells, confirmands and other members of the congregation planted a „Luther Oak“ behind the church as partner tree for the Evangelical Lutheran Congregation St. Jacobus in Pesterwitz, Germany.
