On June 26th, 2017, Pastor Martin Waack (with spade, shoveling the soil) and John Jordan (to the right of Pr. Waack) planted a small leaved linden tree on behalf of the partner congregations, the Evangelical Lutheran Congregation St. Bartholomäus in Wittenburg, Germany, and St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Newark, Ohio, USA.

Planting the partner tree :

On October 31st, 2017, on the occasion of a Reformation worship service, about 70 members of the congregation St. Bartholomäus in Wittenburg planted a “Reformation Oak” (pictured) as partner tree. Another partner tree – a linden tree – was planted by the congregation of St. Paul in Newark, Ohio, USA.
