Planting in the Luther Garden :

On July 4th, 2016, Ms. R. Schweitzer (2nd from right), Lay Preacher R. Steinke (right) and Pastor N. W. Riemer (left, with watering can) planted a silver linden tree on behalf of the Evangelical Lutheran Church congregation in Burtenbach, Germany.

Planting the partner tree :

On March 19th, 2017, during a local ecumenical celebration with Pastor Franz Wespel from the Catholic Congregation Jettingen-Scheppach and Mayor Hans Reichhart from Jettingen-Scheppach, two “Philipp Melanchthon” pear trees were planted as partner trees for the Evangelical Lutheran Church congregation in Burtenbach, Germany. The trees were planted by the Philipp-Melanchthon-Haus in Jettingen-Scheppach with soil from Wittenberg.
