Planting in the Luther Garden :

On September 22nd, 2017, Ms. Sigrid Kühnemann, chair of the Board of Directors of the Protestant Foundation (center, next to the Director of Studies of the LWF Center Wittenberg, Pastor Joachim Zirkler), along with Thomas Bromberg, chair of the church council (right), planted a small leaved linden tree on behalf of the Evangelical Lutheran Congregation Bonifatius in Celle-Klein Hehlen, Germany. They were accompanied by other members of the congregation.

Planting the partner tree :

On May 21st, 2018, following a worship service in low German on Pentecost Monday, Lector Hansjürgen Meyer; Sigrid Kühnemann, chair of the Protestant Foundation Klein Hehlen (left, next to the tree); and tree sponsors Sabine and Bernd Grünheit-Rakowski from Klein Hehlen (right, next to the tree) planted together a Judas tree (Cercis siliquastrum) as partner tree for the Evangelical Lutheran Congregation Bonifatius in Celle-Klein Hehlen, Germany and the Protestant Foundation Klein Hehlen. As a sign of the growing ecumenical bond, members of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Hanover, the Independent Evangelical Lutheran Church (SELK) and the Roman Catholic church spoke prayer petitions.
