Planting in the Luther Garden :

On July 12th, 2012, the Church President Christian Schad (left, next to the Director of the LWF Center Wittenberg and Pastor Hans W. Kasch) planted an amur maple tree on behalf of the Evangelical Church of the Palatinate.

Planting the partner tree :

Still in July 2012, Church President Christian Schad (watering the tree) planted an amur maple tree in the yard of the churchwide offices in Speyer as partner tree for the Evangelical Church of the Palatinate. As a sign of the good ecumenical community between the church in the Palatinate and the Catholic Diocese of Speyer, the ecumenical representative of the diocese, Thomas Stubenrauch, took part in the tree planting.
