Planting in the Luther Garden :

On October 13th, 2015, representatives of the participating churches planted a common ash tree on behalf of the partnership between the Evangelical Church District Markgräflerland, the Church District Zossen-Fläming (both in Germany), and the Diocese of Canterbury in England.

Planting the partner tree :

On November 13th, 2015, Church District Dean Bärbel Schäfer (right) and President of the District Synod, Martin Schirttmatter (left) planted a partner tree in Lörrach at the “House of the Church” as a sign of unity in the trilateral partnership between the Diocese of Canterbury, the Protestant Church District of Markgräferland, Germany, and the Church District of Zossen-Fläming.
