Planting in the Luther Garden :

On July 15th, 2016, representatives of the participating congregations (pictured) planted a flowering ash tree on behalf of the Evangelical Lutheran Congregation Eirene in Hamburg, Germany and the Anglican congregations of St. Cuthbert in Blaydon and Holy Trinity in Swalwell in the Diocese of Durham, Church of England.

Planting the partner tree :

On November 13th, 2016, Pastor Frank-Michael Wessel and Reverend Adrian Thorp planted a maple tree. It is the partner tree of the Evangelical Lutheran Congregation Eirene in Hamburg, Germany, and the Anglican congregations St Cuthbert in Blaydon and Holy Trinity in Swalwell in the Diocese of Durham, Church of England.
