Planting in the Luther Garden :

On April 24th, 2017, Church District Provost Jacob Køhn Andersen (with spade) planted a silver linden tree on behalf of the Diocese of Aarhus, Evangelical Lutheran Church in Denmark, during a study trip with Pastors from the Church District Skanderborg.

Planting the partner tree :

On May 7th, 2017, Bishop Henrik Wigh-Poulsen planted an apple tree for the occasion of the 500th anniversary of the Reformation in the cemetery of the Skt. Sørens church in Gammel Rye as partner tree for the Diocese of Aarhus. This location was chosen because Christian the Third was elected king there in 1534. He promoted the Reformation in Denmark.
