Planting in the Luther Garden :

On October 11th, 2014, Bishop Hans-Erik Nordin (with watering can) planted a common medlar tree on behalf of the Diocese of Strängnäs of the Church of Sweden. He was supported by the members of the Board of the Diocese Council, who traveled together to walk in the footsteps of Martin Luther.

Planting the partner tree :

On June 9th, 2015, Bishop Hans-Erik Nordin (left, in front of the tree) and other members of the Council of the Diocese and Cathedral planted a common medlar tree (Mespilus germanica) as partner tree in front of the Cathedral of Strängnäs.
