On March 29th, 2016, Mr. and Mrs. Hohenhorst planted a silver linden tree on behalf of the Catholic Congregation Rot-Iller and the Evangelical Congregation Erolzheim-Rot, both in Germany. Husband and wife are each involved in one of the congregations.

Catholic Congregation of Rot-Iller and Protestant Congregation of Erolzheim-Rot Celebrate Big Step in Ecumenical Partnership

On June 26th, 2016, during a festival worship service and subsequent ceremony of ecumenical unity of the congregations Rot-Iller and Erolzheim-Rot, representatives of both congregations planted a silver linden tree as partner tree and sign of unity across the formerly dividing lines of confession.
