27.08.2015 - 140 young Christians celebrate the dedication of an Indian tree

With colorful garments and great enthusiasm the group moved towards the Luthergarten. Approximately 140 young Christians were present, when Benison Kachhap did the symbolical planting of a Silver Linden Tree for the Gossner Evangelical Lutheran Church in Chotanagpur and Assam (India). He was one of the delegates who attended the “Workshop Wittenberg “, a global network of young reformers, initiated by the Lutheran World Federation. Together the group developed reformation projects which can be implemented in their own countries until 2017. "Liberated by God's grace - to change the world" – so the title of the two weeks conference. After the dedication of the tree the participants swarmed out to find the trees of their own churches. Most were successful, because so far Lutheran Churches form more than 80 countries worldwide are represented in the Luthergarten.
